7_Have you ever regretted it? There must have been.

Collecting sentences in July is amazing

It is made up of stories of strong women.

There is still, forever, so much to learn.

Thankfully, I survived half the year without incident.

Next year’s magnolias, climbing roses and jacaranda

It’s surprising how people take it for granted that they will see it.

Nothing is taken for granted. Everything surrounding me is finite.

In the midst of dying little by little every day

You have to build your own world.

It is not for the sake of looking good to others,

I have to plant my own trace.

-.Don’t know who needs to hear this.

Take your lunch breaks. Take your evenings and weekends. Take your sick days, time off and mental health days. You agreed to do a job, offer a service or offer goods in exchange for being paid for your time and talents. You did not agree to sell every moment of your personal time, sacrifice your health or sacrifice your quality of life. Read that again.

-.My article written last year.

Looking back now, I think, ‘Now I want to make enough money, not less.’

My cute little income has increased a lot since the time I brought that story out.

It seems to be the power of words and the power of actions.

my house without debt

Running a small bed and breakfast in the forest

Forty travel around the world

I want to buy my mother-in-law a garden.

I want to buy a camping car for my mom.

-.Q. So what do you two blog for?

I write a blog to cry and laugh together. Why do you have that experience? If you’re shaking alone after finishing your meal and hit your shin on the leg of the table, it’s really painful. Although we shed tears at that time, we burst out laughing when we see each other. The same goes for blogs. Our trivial and boring daily life makes someone laugh. I want to share that short, simple ‘feeding’ moment with more people. If you respond by saying it’s fun when you share those moments, you can do about three rounds of back tumbling.

Q. If you have any tips for writing your own blog, please let us know.

The first thing that doesn’t work is to boldly fold. There are areas where everyone is bad no matter how hard they try, right? For us, that was informational. When I started my blog, I first tried to provide travel information. Since other bloggers were doing that too, I felt like our blog should do the same. But the more I tried, the less successful I became and the more annoyed I became. After going through many trials and errors, I decided, ‘Let’s not do it.’ And I wrote it in the article. ‘We traveled this way and that. But this is our case. For more detailed information, please refer to other travel blogs. After writing this, my heart opened and I was able to focus on what we can do well and write much more comfortably and with more fun.

-.Everyone tilted their heads. Unless you are the owner of the building, how could you make such a brave attempt? The bookstore industry was keeping a close eye on the book, and there was a strong concern about whether it would be possible to survive. However, in its 6th year, Choi In-ah Bookstore is sailing smoothly. There, book talks and thematic lectures that encourage contemplation and exploration continue every day, classical music plays, and people desperately looking for answers to life in books wander in front of the bookshelves. Now, Ina Choi Bookstore has established itself as an ‘elegant and intellectual space for contemplation.’

I’m curious about the time of transition between the first and second acts of life.

How did you feel when you stepped down as Samsung’s first female vice president?

“From the age of 42 to 43, what I paid attention to was time. The realization that time was decreasing came to me very clearly. To compare it to money, it is a life of living without additional income and relying only on the balance in your bank account. When you think that your balance is decreasing, you start to spend money sparingly. I had a strong thought, ‘Is it right to spend it this way when time is decreasing?’ When we experience burnout or encounter a big opportunity, we usually ask the question, ‘How should I live?’ This question is abstract, so it is difficult to think. It was difficult to find a starting point, so I changed my mind and thought, ‘Can I continue to live like this?’ It was very easy to quit my job.”

You are looking for an answer by asking yourself questions.

“There are a few things I can praise myself for. One is knowing exactly what is not mine, and the other is not missing the question, ‘What is important to me?’ My juniors often come to me and ask, ‘Should I start a business or not?’ And I answer like this, ‘That’s not a question. What is important to you? Salary? Having opportunities and growing? Or work-life balance?’ It’s not my own concern to ask, ‘Can I just keep going?’ It’s not about the standards of others. Therefore, it is a floating worry and there is no answer.”

Why is it important to ask your own questions?

“When you have a question, fermentation occurs. When soybeans are fermented, they become soybean paste, soybean paste, and soybeans are ground to make tofu. Soybean paste, soybean paste, and tofu have the same DNA, but the results are completely different. I learned through experience that such steps begin to occur the moment I ask a question. That is my way of solving problems. So the important thing is to think with questions, but when people in Korea ask questions, they usually ask about the methodology. ‘How do you do that?’ Doing. That’s a sign of a thief. “It’s a sign that you’re going to get there without even trying, and that you’re looking for a shortcut.”

Unlike usual, the way you speak is a bit harsh (laughter).

“Please use this a bit harshly. There are traps in shortcuts. Look at the signs for English schools in Gangnam. They all tout ‘short-term attributes’. Can someone who learns English in a few months in a short period of time become good at English? They are trying to avoid it. Then there is no solution. The solution is ultimately to find it yourself. Everyone has a different solution. It worked for me, but it may not work for others. Why? We have different temperaments and environments. It’s different, and what you like and what you’re good at are different.

I think I have come this far by always asking questions and maturing.

But when you hold a question for too long, have you ever been too cautious and missed an opportunity?

“It must have happened. I’ve been doing it for over 30 years, so I wonder why there wasn’t a time like that. But I can’t think of it.”

What about your experience of failure?

“There must have been.”

Have you ever regretted it?

“It must have happened. But those thoughts don’t come to mind. It’s not that I don’t remember, I just don’t think about it at all.”
