Fading Away Faintly

šŸŽ¼MIMI_Yura

I got to know Yura through an entertainment program that introduced hidden singers recommended by active singers. I love her voice and music, which deeply immerse people and enchant them all day long. I’m currently obsessed with , a track from her recently released album GAUSSIAN, and have been listening to it all morning.

On the album cover, I see Yura with short bobbed hair, a look I haven’t seen before.

Reading the album description, sure enough, there’s a story about her hair.

šŸ“Ž As the new year began, I thought of the most useless and bothersome things first. That was simply my incredibly long hair crawling on the floor, so what I mean is, I wanted to cut off the stubbornness I’ve maintained in my music—like growing out my hair—or what some might see as my ā€˜dog-shit philosophy,’ just as I cut my hair, and that I’m still contemplating it. Anyway, this album is the long-haired me.

But the conclusion is that this album is still full of the long-haired me. You might wonder what that means, but I like her quirkiness and stubbornness. This person is similar to me.

With its vast room for interpretation and ambiguous meanings, MIMI’s lyrics are perfect for me, someone who loves poetry. They fit my peculiar taste. I don’t try to force an interpretation. There must be her own circumstances, her own story behind writing this song. My part is to substitute my own story that fits this music, sing along to the lyrics, and sway my body. My way of appreciating things is simple, and I like that. I often believe that deep analysis and interpretation of certain things (people, events, creative works) can be impolite.

This is a song that makes me want to wave my hand to bad hearts and beautiful things, to those that have disappeared and are disappearing, more than to good hearts. Whether it’s a welcoming ā€˜come on in’ or a farewell ā€˜goodbye’ doesn’t matter to me. I just wave my hand. The judgment is yours.

šŸ’æ Good heart, bad heart Take away just enough not to be a sin Bad heart, that bad heart Whose neck will your wicked breath bite? ** Good heart, that bad heart Does that tree know the season to bow its head? Bad heart, that bad heart Those pretty hands, those pretty eyes ** Disappear faintly MIMI, why did you leave me? Why does love disappear? Friend, please find me
