Healing with the Jeju Sea

I went to Jeju Island for a short summer vacation.

Last fall, I was a “pedestrian” and went to Hamdeok Beach and Sehwa Beach near the airport, but this time, I spent it driving around the south.

It rained gently on the day I arrived, filling the air with the scent of wet grass and the sea…

For my first meal, I went for a warm gukbap at #JeongseongDeumppukJejuGuk The mel twigim (fried anchovies) was seriously delicious..! Eating it wrapped in perilla leaves was a fantastic combo!😍

It was my first time trying momguk (seaweed soup with pork),, and it was good! I also ordered gakjaegiguk (horse mackerel soup), and it had a refreshing taste, similar to bokguk (pufferfish soup).

For dinner on the first day, grilled black pork🐽 #Munchibi

The kimchi served as a side dish here had a deep fermented seafood flavor, and it was truly, truly delicious,, The kimchi jjigae was seriously the real deal…🙊

The steamed egg was also excellent..!

For accommodation, I used a friend’s chance to get a discount at a resort! #JejuESResort It was a quiet and charming place, like something out of a fairy tale.

A night walk to see the stars,, The moon was as bright as a fluorescent light🌝

On the first evening, champagne to celebrate the vacation..🥂

Since us “grown-ups” get tired when our sugar levels drop,, everyone rummaged through their bags and pulled out sweets lol We met when we were twenty and are now over thirty..😇

Actually, my stomach had been hurting so much even before coming to Jejuㅠㅠ I had acid reflux and a burning stomach, it was really painful.. I got a prescription for medicine that was okay to drink alcohol with… from the airport pharmacy, and those were truly days I endured by taking medicine..🥲

(Of course, when I came back, I was in terrible pain and I’m still taking medicine to soothe my stomach A ban on my beloved coffee/alcohol😔)

The next morning, for haejangguk (hangover soup) #SamilSikdang They say it’s the Jeju style to add lots of garlic,,

I’ll have the naejangtang (offal soup)!!! 🥰

After a hearty meal, off to the sea. Seeing the orange parasols spread out, it really felt like a summer vacation 🏄🏻‍♀️☀️

What is this place, what is this vibe? It’s like a Southeast Asian resort was just transplanted here..😚

We also went to the dolphin spot.

As expected, we didn’t see any dolphins. But the sea was still sparkling and truly beautiful🌊

A beautiful nameless purple flower blooming in the rock crevices..💜

Just looking at the sea makes me feel so good. The layered, undulating blue hues and watching the white waves break mindlessly, makes my stuffy chest feel completely open and healed. 🐳💙
