Liner Notes

To the emptiness, as if everything has lost its color.

🎼In the End, It’s You (with Yoon Sang)_Toy

“Always arriving quietly, with soft steps…”

This is how Toy’s Fermata album introduction begins.

If rain gently falls from an expressionless sky,

I want to put on <In the End, It’s You> sung by Yoon Sang,

and quietly, softly, indulge in a dark romance.

When a pale, delicate voice

and sadly beautiful piano melodies intertwine and flow,

I just want to rest my chin in my hand, watching the crimson liquor shimmer

in a transparent glass, and waver through the night.

If I ever meet someone I don’t want to lose,

I’d want to relearn the piano, which I gave up early on

because I couldn’t read the bass clef,

just so I could confess with this song.

Without saying ‘I like you,’ ‘I love you,’ ‘I miss you,’ or any such words,

I’d want to give them a full embrace of emotions,

telling them that in the end, it’s you, and without you, nothing has meaning.

Then I think I would truly be content.

In the End, It’s You, even if I sit at the piano all night and sing

I sigh in an emptiness that feels like it’s lost its color

In the End, It’s You, even if I take out new clothes, they look shabby

I keep missing the me who used to laugh out loud in the past

**

Watching a newly released movie

Walking down crowded streets

Asking to show me a new beginning

Asking to erase you from within me

Even if I beg myself countless times

Even if I promise myself not to be afraid

All that remains for me in the end is futility

Because without you, nothing has meaning

In the end, you were there.
